Information about the Personal Data Protection Law

1. General Information About the Law

Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 was accepted on 24 March 2016 and was published in the Official Gazette No. 29677 dated 7 April 2016.

According to Article 32 titled "Effectiveness" of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, articles 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 of this Law came into force as of 7 October 2016, six months after the date of publication.Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 has been regulated to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the privacy of private life, in the processing of personal data and to regulate the obligations of real and legal persons processing personal data and the procedures and principles to be followed.

 

2. Data Controller Information

As ISTANBUL CHAMBER OF KNITTING AND SIMILAR TRADESMEN AND CRAFTSMEN, we will use your personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation as the Data Controller in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

3. How can your Personal Data be processed?

Pursuant to the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, as ISTANBUL CHAMBER OF KNITTING AND SIMILAR TRADESMEN AND CRAFTSMEN, we, as the data controller, obtain, record and store your personal data that you share with our institution, fully or partially, by automatic or non-automatic means, provided that it is part of any recording system, All kinds of operations on the data such as preserving, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, setting targets and determining the visited pages, classifying them or preventing their use can be carried out by us.

 

4. What are the purposes and legal reasons for processing your Personal Data?

Personal data you share with us in order to provide the services we provide in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, contract and technology, to improve the products and services we offer, to fulfill our information retention, reporting and information obligations stipulated by judicial and administrative authorities, to engage in advertising and promotional activities, and to analyze our customer portfolio. We will process it in accordance with the Data Protection Law and relevant legislation.

6. How is your Personal Data collected?

7. What are your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698?

  4. Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred within the country,

  5. Requesting correction of personal data if they are incomplete or incorrectly processed,

  6. Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the Law,

  7. To request that the transactions made in accordance with clauses (4) and (5) above be notified to third parties to whom personal data is transferred,

  8. Objecting to the emergence of a result that is unfavorable to the individual by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automatic systems,

  9. Request compensation for damages in case of damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.
